What do you do on a day-to-day basis?
I am a freelance video host and producer. I produce a lot of online content like the series “The Marcy Minute for SKORCH Magazine” which is aimed at plus-size fashion and style!
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I love that I get to do something different everday and ultimately pursue my dream of becoming an entertainment icon like Oprah! I love translating skinny fashion to plus-size for the SKORCH readers and I love working from a coffee shop, bookstore,or other venue that introduces me to crazy characters on a daily basis!
What are some clothing or accessories you can’t live without?
I can’t LIVE without my Quail staples!! Even though it’s not a plus line, the things that fit me I die for. Especially my tunics! I can’t live without lipgloss, even though my boyfriend hates it, and my Marc by Marc Jacobs clock pendant necklace. I don’t leave my house without earrings on. I had them pierced while I was in the hospital days after I was born, so I literally feel naked without them!
If you could do anything other than what you are doing, what would that be?
An inventor. If anything cool that pops into my head. Have investors that pay me to discover cures and shortcuts and things that get infomercials and become “As Seen on TV”!!
If you could live anywhere other than where you live, where would that be?
I would love to live in New York because I love the hustle and the pace!!! Except only April to June. I can’t do extreme weather and am a California girl to the death!
Do you own any Quail? If so, what is your favorite item?
Of course!!! I have been a fan of Quail since the beginning, so my faves date back to the kimono-style sweaters and scarf dresses! I love my Quail baby doll jersey dress, Melinda Top and am obsessed with the tunics from Fall ‘09. I also have the Sweet Rebel Cape that is so cute and fancy, I can’t NOT be the life of the party in it! What is the most inspiring thing someone has ever told you?“Don’t fall in love with someone’s potential.”
What is something most people don’t know about you?
Something people don’t know about me is that I LOVE doing puzzles. It started with jet lag on a trip to Germany and now I’m hooked! I’m currently working on a 750-piece puzzle of the New York skyline!
What is your favorite feature on yourself? And why?
I love my eyes because they are exotic (since I am half-Persian) and I am blessed with extrememly long eyelashes! I always get complimented on them and I love wearing mascara!
